Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.)
Birth and early life
The beginning of his Wilaya
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan Saheb was born in Kabul in year 1800in the household of his father Khwaja Sayyid Mir Hassan (r.a.).
He has been interested in pursuing his saintly duties as a very young child.
Once he was 5 years old he went to his father and asked him to teach him the way of Saints.
His father replied that it is still too early for him to learn this way.
Once Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) insisted his father hugged him, passing on Sainthood to him.
This was the moment in which Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) has become a Saint.
Education
An enrichment for the Ummah
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) was educated by his father, who was a highly respected saint and scholar of his time in Kabul.
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) has been progressing very fast, memorising the holy Quran in his Childhood and mastering Hadith sciences, becoming a perfect Faqih.
Tasawuf
The Golden Chain
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan deepened his studies in Tasawuf under the guidance of Mawlana Mawlawi Ahmadyar Saheb Bukhari (r.a.), grand-Khalifa of Shah Ahmad Saeed Saheb (r.a.).
Al Haramain
The son of Prophet Muhammad (s)
He mastered seven Tariqats and went on studying in al-Madinah al Munawwarah staying there for many years.
On his way to Madinah he performed Haj and was witness of God´s love for him.
When Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan Saheb (r.a.) approached the Kaaba the Kaaba opened itself for him. He entered alone and no one else could.
After his Haj he went to Al-Madinah.
He was widely respected in the city of his patriarch prophet Muhammad (s) and married the daughter of the governor of Madinah.
While he was in the prophet´s mosque the door to the Hujra was mysteriously closed.
Many people tried to open it, but failed.
Once Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan approached the door of the Hujra of his grand father (s) it automatically opened for him.
He entered and has witnessed the light of his father (s).
Hazrat Ishaan
From father to son
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan(r.a.) travelled with his wife and two sons back to the Indian subcontinent, by a ship ferry.
On the way a natural disaster occured in which his family and all travellers passed away.
It was a miracle that Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) survived by the grace of God to perform his duties to him and continue the true legacy of his grandfather prophet Muhammad (s).
He was lying on a piece of wood that carried him on for three days to the coast of Mumbai.
Once he arrived in Mumbai he preached Islam and got highly-respected in India.
He then travelled northwards and found the tomb of his patriarch Hazrat Ishaan (r.a.)
Hazrat Ishaan prophecying this event in which his successor would come, stretched out his pure hands from his grave to greet his beloved great grandson.
He told him that if his disciples would not be with him, he himself would come out entirely from his grave to hug his son by God´s permission.
Ghawthiyya
The manifest of God´s will
Hazrat Sayyid Mir Jan (r.a.) based his Wilaya in the shrine of his patriarch Hazrat Ishaan (r.a.).
He was the Ghawth of his time and governed everything from there.
He manifests God´s will as the axis of the universe and cosmic representative of Sheikh Abdulqadir Gilani (r.a.)
